The purpose of The Bostic Lincoln Center is to obtain,
preserve and maintain a property suitable for a museum, visitors’ center and a
Community Learning Center.
The Bostic Lincoln Center, is a 501c-3 non-profit museum
operating through dedicated volunteerism and sponsorship. Our mission is
to collect, document, preserve and research the generational lore of our
location in Western North Carolina. One of these most important stories,
handed down for over two centuries, relates to the birth of Abraham Lincoln in a
cabin above Puzzle Creek. This creek is located near the present day town
of Bostic, in Rutherford County, North Carolina.
We would like to encourage you to stop by the museum and review the stories we
have collected to date . And, if you have a story to tell, please let us record
it in your own words. Call and set up an appointment for us to video you,
your family and your generational stories of this area.
We wish to express our appreciation to the town of Bostic
for their generous support of the museum.
As we
continue our grassroots fundraising efforts, please consider
including the Lincoln Project in your budget. Your financial support is
critical to the success of the Lincoln Project. Instructions on
contributing may be found here.
If you would
like to become more involved, or join our growing team of volunteersm please e-mail us at

you at one of our museum events.
With sincere
appreciation,
